He is a renowned endoscopic ENT and skull base surgeon. He has travelled to many parts of the world for work and to receive training from eminent surgeons in their field. Vivek Mariappan, MS, is Senior Assistant Professor, Department of ENT, Madras Medical College, and Director and Consultant ENT Surgeon, Smriti ENT Clinic, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. His field of interest is otology and head neck surgery. He was a Former Technical Consultant–State Nodal Centre; National Programme for Prevention of Deafness (NPPCD) Tamil Nadu State division.
