Course DescriptionDesigned for trainees, practicing nephrologists, and other nephrology providers who care for critically ill patients with kidney diseases, this program reviews principles of critical care nephrology and provides updates on the latest developments. Presentations cover topics in critical care medicine relevant to nephrology providers: hemodynamic monitoring and support, management of critical illness in patients with ESRD, ethical issues, management of AKI in specific clinical settings, and management of critically ill patients with AKI, including specific populations. In addition, the program covers the short- and long-term outcomes of AKI, how to manage patients with AKI and persistent dialysis needs, and key considerations when prescribing RRT.All presentations will be available on-demand starting one week prior to the program through December 4. This program will feature two live, interactive sessions on October 19-20 which will be available on-demand after the live sessions.
